This (in addition to Isa 53) calls me to recognize God as one who is willing to sacrifice everything for those for whom he hopes to find favor. There is also a strong presence of nobility in God's charicter revealed by this scripture similar to those who give their lives to save another. I am in awe of the Lord's selflessness for not only his people, but for those he knew would turn away.
This passage shows me how unbelieveble God's Love is for his creation (US). It beyond my understanding
