This scripture shows me the incredible sovereignty of our God. He is always working to bring everything under the one head of Jesus. He is bringing everything into conformity with his purpose, nothing in my life is an exception to that. I must see everything in my life as God's will being exercised. So often I feel like things happen to me outside of his will but this passage destroys that notion.
I am God's possession and he will do as he pleases with my life as I move closer and closer to the final redemption. God has bestowed upon me the greatest power in the universe, the power that rose Christ from the dead! He wants me to be great, not average. And he did all of this while I was lost. When it would be so hard to see any good he put the ultimate good in my heart. Now all I can do is walk about in his will doing all that he would have me do. God is my king, he is building me into something greater than I could ever be, but not me alone, all of the true Christians are a building that glorifies the Lord.
