This passage of scripture helps me reach out to God and lift my hand up like a child wanting to be "picked up" This morning, like many days - while I reflect on the the day before and prepare for the day ahead I find my self looking to God for his peace and forgiveness. He gives it! Unfathomable! I can relate to David's thoughts and prayers in this Psalm. "Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me." " and my prayer today is also the same as vs 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight.
relying upon the word of the lord is paramount, revealing the reality of who we are. fortunately for us the lord is full of truth,compassion,mercy and justice. I can be quite self-condemning. psalm18 is very calming. "power in weakness" in davids life are evident.
